“As Christians our standard of living
can never be “right or wrong”,
but the Cross.
The principle of the Cross
is our principle of conduct.”
Watchman Nee To-sheng: (Sit, Walk, Stand)
can never be “right or wrong”,
but the Cross.
The principle of the Cross
is our principle of conduct.”
Watchman Nee To-sheng: (Sit, Walk, Stand)
Son-ship:
“For though we walk in the flesh,
we do not war according to flesh.
For the weapons of our warfare
are not carnal
but mighty in God
for pulling down strongholds,
casting down arguements
and every high thing
that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God,
bringing every thought
into captivity
to the obedience of Christ.”
(II Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV; my emphasis: bold)
Here lies the simple answer,
the principle to living a victorious
life in Christ....conformity to Christ....
that we might today live in the image of Christ.
A lofty goal? No, a command of God!
We must come to the Cross of Christ, (Matt. 16:24)
to live the victorious life of Christ (Gal.2:20)
so that others will come to Christ. (Acts 1:8)
The world around us is crying for their rights,
and the subtle message can easily permeates our thinking.
So the need to renew our thinking in the mind of Christ each day.
(Ps.51:10; II Cor. 4:16; Ephesians 4:23)
We have nothing to demand, nor any rights to stand for,
but only to give in grace that which we have received in grace.
When our Lord and Master died on the Cross,
He didn’t do so to secure our “rights”
He did so that we might be changed by His grace.
“That you may be sons of your Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:45)
The question is not rights...the question is son-ship,
demonstrated to a lost and dying world around us.
Living with you, in the victory He has won!
