Abiding:

“Some people’s identity is found in their crisis
instead of their Christ”
Pastor Kris Vallotton

Abiding:

Walking in the truth is not simply
having an accurate understanding of spiritual things.
True walking means that we are abiding –
living in obedience to Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life Everlasting.
Spiritual growth is not the acquisition of knowledge,
but rather growing up in Christ Jesus,
becoming more and more like Him. (Ephesians 4:11-15)

“Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth
[in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly].
Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way
and in all things into Him Who is the Head,
[even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”
Ephesians 4:15 Amplified Bible

Deception and err are not simply issues of misinterpreting a doctrine,
but rather the abdication of God’s will
for our own will and fallen thinking.

The Body of Christ is to be made up of livings stones (believers)
fit together by walking together in obedience to the Master Mason,
and formed for His use and purposes.
Where there is disagreement and division within ‘the body’,
there has been a departure from the teaching of Christ
and the leading of the Holy Spirit (who guides us to all truth). (1 John 5:6)

If we are walking in the light
as He is in the light
there is no such division in the true Body of Christ.

“But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light,
as He [Himself] is in the Light,
we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt
[keeps us cleansed from sin
in all its forms and manifestations].”
1 John 5:7 Amplified Bible

The true Body of Christ comprised of living beings,
functioning together for the fulfillment of the Gospel
and the edification of its own.
The true Body has never been nor never will be divided,
as it is “one body that partakes of one bread.”

“For we [no matter how] numerous we are,
are one body, because we all partake of the one Bread
[the One Whom the communion bread represents].”
1 Corinthians 10:17 Amplified Bible

The Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy (and we also)
to “rightly divide the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15).
The Psalmist observed that
“The sum of Thy word is truth.”
(Psalm 119:160).

Jesus is the sum of all spiritual truth!
In the end all things will be summed up in Christ!

“[He planned] for the maturity of the times
and the climax of the ages to unify all things
and head them up and consummate them in Christ,
[both] things in heaven and things on the earth.”
Ephesians 1:10 Amplified Bible

Praise be to the Lord,
our God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens…
