Lions of Africa:
In recent years there has been a peculiar happening on the plains of Africa.
In recent years there has been a peculiar happening on the plains of Africa.
Lions, sometimes entire prides of lions
have been found dead on the savannah.
At first poaching was suspected, but it became apparent quickly
that that was not the case, as these lions were all trampled to death.
Elephants seemed the likely candidates,
because of their immense size and weight,
but at careful examination of the lion’s carcasses
it was found that a hoofed animal’s were the culprit.
It turns out that zebras (normally a regular on the lion’s menu)

It seems that some herds of zebras have learned
that if they stick together and charge stalking lions,
the lions become confused and freeze.
The massive numbers of zebras in the herd
simply stampede over them, and trample them to death.
Of course, should a lone zebra wonder away from the protection of the herd,
they become easy prey for the lions – lunch is served!
It seems to me that we Christians might benefit
It seems to me that we Christians might benefit
from the lesson of the zebras banding together to attack the works of the enemy..
“Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind),
be vigilant and cautious at all times;
for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger],
seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 Amplified Bible
Let all the upright in heart praise the Lord…
