Taking the Mountains

"I was regretting the past and fearing the future.
Suddenly God was speaking: "My name is I am."
I waited and God continued:
"When you live in the past, with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard.
I am not there. My name is not I was.
When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard.
I am not there. My name is not I will be.
When you live in this moment, it is not hard.
I am here. My name is I AM."

Taking the Mountains

One of the greatest lies which have ever been perpetrated
upon the Body of Christ, is the eschatology…
(Eschatology (from the Greek Eschatos meaning "last" and -logy meaning "the study of") is a part of theology and philosophy concerned with what is believed to be the final events in the history of the world, or the ultimate destiny of humanity.)
that the world is going to get more and more evil,
until there is one world government ruled by the antichrist.

Although no doubt this is the enemies aim,
this is not what the Bible teaches.

If you had proposed this theory
to the early fathers of the church
they would have looked at you dumbfounded
and thought you were quite insane.

Jesus taught his disciples to pray along these lines
“thy kingdom come, thy will be done…
in earth as it is in heaven.”
(Matthew 6:10)

God does not ask his people to do
what He does not expect carry out and fulfill.

He really intends to fully conquer the whole earth…
establishing the kingdom of heaven in this age

The problem with the church is
that they believe the lie
and are awaiting the Great Escape
at the expense of the Great Commission
to go and make disciples of all nations. (Acts 1:8)

8And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying,
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB)

God’s plan is to rule the earth through his church in this age,
not in the millennium.

He proclaims that He is coming back
to “a bride (church)without spot or wrinkle”
a church walking in the fullness of His Spirit and authority.
Our mandate is to fill the earth and subdue it…

God blessed them and said to them,
"Be fruitful and increase in number;
fill the earth and subdue it.
Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air
and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Genesis 1:28 NASB

Jesus is not coming back
to a bride that is cowering in a cave
waiting to be raptured to safety.

In the second chapter of Daniel,
he (Daniel) reveals the details
of king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
It is noteworthy that all the kings
“wise men, astrologers, enchanters, magicians and diviners”
all shrank back from even trying to reveal the dream. (Daniel 2:27)
Real Truth will never be revealed
by the minds of men or the “powers” of darkness.

31"You, O king, were looking and behold,
there was a single great statue;
that statue, which was large
and of extraordinary splendor,
was standing in front of you,
and its appearance was awesome.
32"The head of that statue
was made of fine gold,
its breast and its arms of silver,
its belly and its thighs of bronze,
33its legs of iron,
its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.
34"You continued looking
until a stone was cut out without hands,
and it struck the statue
on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them.
35"Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold
were crushed all at the same time
and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors;
and the wind carried them away
so that not a trace of them was found
But the stone that struck the statue
became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
Daniel 2:31-35 NASB my emphasis bold)

Now here is an eschatology you can hang-your-hat-on as a believer.
These five statue parts represented kingdoms upon the earth

from Nebuchadnezzar’s day until the day

that “the stone cut without hands” (Christ and his kingdom)

become a great mountain filling the whole earth.

And the joy beloved, is that we are privileged
to have the opportunity to be a part
of establishing this incredible victory!

There are seven mountains of cultural influence
that the church is called to “take or influence”
so that the kingdom of our God
can become the kingdom of this earth.

Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand,
so that all kingdoms on earth may know
that you alone, O LORD, are God. "
Isaiah 37:20 NASB

These cultural areas of influence are:

The family:
It has long been said that
“the hand that rocks the cradle… controls the nation.”
We are engaged in a war over the mind control of our children.

The Church / Religion:
The Church is to equip for ministry
so that the world may embrace Christ

Education:
Education shapes the next generation of leaders
Most universities which were founded in Christ
have abandoned their spiritual call for secular humanism.

Government:
The founders of our Government stated that it would never work unless all who govern were Christians.

The Arts:
Spiritual truths were meant to be breathed by the arts.

Business, Science and Finance:
Look at the effect that Joseph and David had on government
Virtually all early scientific gain was birthed by believers

Media
Media has an enormous influence over people.

The whole earth is to be a reflection
of the fullness of the Godhead
and it is expressed in Christ Jesus.

16For by Him all things were created,
both in the heavens and on earth,
visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—
all things have been created through Him and for Him.
17He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
18He is also head of the body, the church;
and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
19For it was the Father's good pleasure
for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
20and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself,
having made peace through the blood of His cross;
through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Colossians 1:16-20 NASB
