Seven things God Loves:

“All I have seen teaches me
to trust the Creator
for all I have not seen.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

There are seven things God loves:
1. A people who are Presence Led
2. Those who live in Settled Confidence
3. People who fulfill their call to His purposes in ministry
4. Those who walk together in freedom as children of God
5. Those who walk with God and each other in covenant relationship
6. Those who respond to the mandate
to change the world for Christ
7. Those who raise the next generation to live for the Lord.

God’s desire is to see us leave a heritage to our children
so that our ceiling is their floor.

A “generation” includes every person alive on the planet.

The Holy Spirit is being poured out on “all flesh”
(i.e., young and old, male and female, from every strata of society). (Joel 2/Acts 2)

We are called to be fathers and mothers (relational), not just teachers (informational).
Fathers and mothers may be biological or not but it is always spiritual.

We live to “pass the baton” to those coming after us, desiring to leave a double portion for them,
realizing that our “ceiling” is their “floor.”

We give ourselves to making disciples who can reproduce - to raise Timothys

“And the things you have heard me say
in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable men
who will also be qualified to teach others.”
2 Timothy 2:2 NIV

Our passion must be to live in the light of the big, eternal picture of history;
seeking to occupy (not exit) until He returns.

We must demonstrate and instruct the ways of the Kingdom
to our children

“He decreed statutes to Jacob and established the law in Israel;
which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.”
Psalm 78:5-7 NIV

…”so that your children and their children after them
may fear the Lord your God as long as you live
by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you,
and so that you may enjoy long life.”
Deuteronomy 6:2NIV.
Stones of Gilgal: Joshua 4:18-24

By the grace of God, we will finish our race well; devoted to Jesus for the long haul.

“I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day –
and not only to me,
but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV
We will “honor all,” fervently seeking the blessing of the Lord for all who follow us.
