Seven things God Loves:
Part 3 All Are Called to Ministry

“The sages and heroes of history are receding from us,
and history contracts the record of their deeds
into a narrower and narrower page.
But time has no power
over the name and deeds and words of Jesus Christ.”
[Cross Ref: John 21:25]

There are seven things God loves:

1. A people who are Presence Led
2. Those who live in Settled Confidence
3. People who fulfill their call to His purposes in ministry
4. Those who walk together in freedom as children of God
5. Those who walk with God and each other in covenant
6. Those who respond to the mandate to change the world for Christ
7. Those who raise the next generation to live for the Lord.

God has called each of us to a ministry or ministries.
Learning to know His voice and leading
is critical if we are to fulfill His purposes for our lives.

God loves people who grow and mature to fulfill their destiny in ministry. Far too often the Body of Christ has viewed ministry from the low perspective that only pastors, ministers or priests are to minister. The Scriptures are quite clear that we are all called to minister.

"It was he who gave some to be apostles,
some to be prophets,
some to be evangelists,
and some to be pastors and teachers,
to prepare God's people for works of service,
so that the body of Christ may be built up
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ
."
Ephesians 4:11-13 NIV (my emphasis bold)

Our very first ministry must be to the LORD. Nothing is more important than being in His presence and in His will. When we are presence led and walk in settled confidence in God, we will find that:

1. He has a ministry for every believer.

2. Every person in the body of Christ serves a vital function.
All too often we get caught up in spiritual comparisons…
Such often stirs up “dissension among brothers.”

"A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."
Proverbs 6:19 (See Part 1)

We need to realize that it is critical
that we are supportive of our brothers and sisters in Christ, (yes even with their flaws!)
That we are called to build them up…edify them, not criticise and curse them.
We need to love them in the same manner that the Lord does!

3. We must understand that the Holy Spirit
has placed precious gifts in every one
of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

4. We are called to help equip and encourage the servants of God
that they may become the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers that are needed in the establishment of His kingdom.

5. We need to hear the prophetic calling for each believer.

6. We need to always view other believers from God’s perspective.

“And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle
and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood.”
Hebrews 9:22 NIV

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.
Galatians 6:1 NASB
